Milo’s Meanderings – Parrot Date 2.16
A brand new amusement for our Parrot Head Club. Many of you have heard of Flat Stanley or something similar where an object travels to different places and people enjoy following his journey. In January, the Hicks and Stones were in St. Thomas and got to thinking/drinking and decided the Club needed a mascot. Continue reading Milo’s Meanderings – Parrot Date 2.16

This month will be a Valentine themed pajama party. Come in your most festive pajamas! Tunes provided by DJ Rob.
There will be games of the usual sort, so expect to be recruited for the fun stuff! Everyone will have the chance to enter the traditional 50/50 raffle benefitting the Humane Societies’ special fund for heartworm treatment.
2016 January 16th Highway Pickup a success!
Co-ordinated by Jean Jenson, he reports that 27 parrot heads participated in our regular clean up of highway 58 between the traffic light at Rt. 24 and the bridge. Despite predictions, the sun was shining on the group the whole time which made our good deeds much more enjoyable. When all was said and done, 27 bags of trash were disposed of leaving the entrance to Emerald Isle once again a better place.

Seemed appropriate with the beautiful weather we are experiencing in Emerald Isle, as many are across the country. Happy holidays!
December Phlocking, Friday, December 4 at 7:00
Come join us for some holiday fun at the Emerald Club. DJ Robbie Jones will be cranking out the tunes, a few games coming your way to help all your Parrot Head friends kick off the “Season”. There will be some free food provided by the Emerald Club but we encourage you to bring a little Christmas munchie to round out the eats. This year instead of Toys for Tots we are collecting much needed items for the Carteret County Domestic Violence Program and Family Promise of Carteret County as well as non perishable food items for the Hope Mission/Martha’s Cupboard Food Pantry. Choose one or all three. Get out you best red and green attire and help us party with a purpose!
November Phlocking, Friday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.
We will honor our Veterans and the men and women who serve our country. Let’s show our support by wearing a yellow ribbon, a patriotic hat, or waving a miniature flag on Friday night! We will celebrate with good music and food and as always at the Emerald Club, there will be games and lots of fun. Also don’t forget to bring your leftover candy for our upcoming parade. Hope to see you there, Jan H.
