Hang on – winter will be over and spring coming!
Editor, Tradewind Time
Seemed appropriate with the beautiful weather we are experiencing in Emerald Isle, as many are across the country. Happy holidays!
Come join us for some holiday fun at the Emerald Club. DJ Robbie Jones will be cranking out the tunes, a few games coming your way to help all your Parrot Head friends kick off the “Season”. There will be some free food provided by the Emerald Club but we encourage you to bring a little Christmas munchie to round out the eats. This year instead of Toys for Tots we are collecting much needed items for the Carteret County Domestic Violence Program and Family Promise of Carteret County as well as non perishable food items for the Hope Mission/Martha’s Cupboard Food Pantry. Choose one or all three. Get out you best red and green attire and help us party with a purpose!
We recently received the following email request; let’s see if we can help Caitlin (one of our newer members) out with some supplies.
Hi Sue,
Can you send out an email asking PH’s to save paper grocery bags for me? Any bag will help. We’ll be using them to store some vegetation samples from our marsh field work. As funding is practically non existent for sea level rise studies (shocking! I know…) any donations of bags will be helpful for one less thing to spend our grant money on.
Thank you!
Caitlin Lauback
You can bring the bags you save to any Parrot Head event, or contact us at info@emeraldisleparrotheads-test.com if you have some bags for Caitlin.
